HISTORY
Following close collaboration on several Canberra residential and commercial developments since 1992, APG Principals Barry Morris and Graham Potts formally launched the company in 2002.
The new entity wasted no time in signalling its national intentions and in 2003 entered the Queensland market as developer of the $250M Aurora residential apartments, Brisbane's tallest. The Aurora (built by Bovis Lend Lease) was successfully completed in 2006. All 484 apartments in the development have been sold.
In 2003, APG acquired the Suncorp Plaza and the adjacent Theatre site on Albert and Turbot Streets in Brisbane. The Plaza Tower was subsequently refurbished to PCA Grade A standards and fully leased by the end of 2007. A new PCA Grade A, 26 level office tower of 25, 600mē, was completed in February 2009 on the Theatre site.
Over the past 7 years, APG has also developed and leased over 140,000m2 of office space to various Commonwealth Departments and Instrumentalities and major corporations in Canberra and Brisbane. Over the same period APG has constructed, developed and sold over 2780 residential units in Canberra and South East Queensland. The company continues to grow from strength to strength and has an impressive pipeline of projects ready for delivery in 2009 and beyond.
